About the role

This role will join the Quoted Distribution Team, which sits in the Strategic Partnerships Team within Octopus Investments. The Quoted Distribution Team are responsible for the growth and development of the Quoted fund offering at Octopus Investments.

As Account Manager, you will report into the Head of Quoted Distribution and will be responsible for supporting the team’s effort in raising assets into various funds including our super exciting Future Generations Fund: https://octopusinvestments.com/our-products/fp-octopus-uk-future-generations-fund/

You will be given the opportunity to play an integral role in ensuring the team achieve the fundraising targets and effectively deliver a distribution strategy predominantly focused on the UK Wholesale Market (Wealth Managers, Discretionary Fund Managers, Independent Financial Advisers, Family Offices and Multi-Managers).

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded and genuinely interested in Fund Management and Distribution, who is willing to be part of a small team and take on varied tasks to achieve the ambitious targets the team have set.

There will be an opportunity to develop a high performing skill set and build a career in Business Development and Marketing, with exposure to Product Management and Investment Management.

Essential Job Functions

Support sales activity by making outbound follow-up calls, fulfilling literature requests, booking meetings, and ensuring CRM system is kept up to date.

Support marketing and sales team members to co-ordinate and organise client events (both in house and third party) and lead any follow-up activity.

Assist with pre-meeting research and the preparation of sales and marketing materials, including presentation packs.

Liaise with the Tax BDM team to ensure there is ongoing integration with the Quoted sales team.

Provide RFP/DDQ process support – co-ordinating responses and requirements from various internal teams.

Ownership of lead generation for the team, tracking & reporting of data and creating quarterly reports.

Conduct competitor/market research and analysis, using 3rd party tools such as Financial Clarity and Lipper/FE Analytics.

Work with the Data team to help organise the monthly MI from investment platforms, to identify leads and provide to sales team.

Qualifications

Job Specific Experience/Technical Skills/Abilities

Familiarity with, and a genuine interest in, financial markets and investment management would be advantageous.

Appetite for continuous personal and professional development, a desire to further your career within investments and sales.

Self-starter with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Extremely organised, good attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.

Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and confident on the telephone both internally and externally.

Good commercial instincts

Highly proficient in MS Office: Word/Excel/PowerPoint.

Comfortable in using technology and leveraging digital applications.
