We are seeking an insurance client-facing
Account Manager aka Insurance Account Manager, in our Client Services (CS) department at Clements Worldwide. Working with insurers and clients to serve policy renewals, offer the proper products, strive to create new accounts, and excellent customer service to assist in retaining customer loyalty.

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

3+ years experience in managing client-facing accounts in the insurance industry
A license in Property and Casualty (P&C) or Life and Health (L&H)
Capacity to travel internationally as needed for this position
Capability to complete 6-8 weeks of training in the office
Ability to be in the DC office 1-2 days a week or as needed after training
Legal authorization to work in the United States

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

Serve as the key relationship manager, and account handler of CS clients with respect to renewal retention, account rounding, and other actions
Offer expertise and recommendations on Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) exposures to our clients
Provide benefits of products while also demonstrating the benefits of our products/services to clients
Provide customer service to clients using a consultative approach and relationship building
Client visits, inquiry response, utilization of product knowledge, participation in client meetings, and responsiveness to all other client needs
Manage a book of business, retain renewal business, reaching/exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual retention needs
Partner with Insurance Producers, providing organizational and technical support
Control renewal processes to include submissions of policy applications, obtaining quotations, and reviewing of renewal terms and conditions
Oversee all changes affecting insurance coverages
Market and present new products to existing and prospective clients
Take first reports of loss from clients and report to the Claims department within the required time frames according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Prepare invoices and validate payments as necessary
Collect and review client receivables
Stay abreast of changing insurance markets, products, and services to provide clients with the best options possible
Utilize and maintain the agencies management system EPIC per the department’s SOP, to provide an excellent customer experience and prevent Errors and Omissions (E&O) incidents
Assist with setting and maintaining departmental goals/objectives
Make requests for changes as needed for audits, quotes, binders, and endorsements
Receive policies, update policies, and complete policies to ensure the totality
Engage with Insurance Producers and Accounting department to appropriately determine action plans, assist in collection efforts or billing discrepancies
Other responsibilities and duties may be assigned

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Ability to go above and beyond the normal 9 to 5 working hours

Being attuned to cultural differences
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong verbal and written communication
Interpersonal communication skills

It will be great if you also happen to have these qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of international insurance
Understand the core industries such as Non-Government Official (NGO) and/or United States Government (USG) Contractors overseas
Licensed in both P&C and L&H
P&C products experience
