Job Description

Are you looking for a career in sales where you are selling the latest software decisioning technologies and want to put the customer at the heart of everything you do? As a FTSE 25 company with over four decades of experience specialising in Software Decisioning, Experian are looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager with proven consultative sales abilities, to join our software dedicated experts in winning major deals across Experian’s B2B marketplace specifically within the Banking vertical.

You will be working with both existing clients and Experian Account Management teams to identify client business problems and in turn, recommend and implement decisioning solutions across the customer lifecycle (from Onboarding, through Customer Management and into Collections). You will be responsible for:

Identifying new business opportunities as you develop existing and new relationships within your allocated clients

Ensuring clients have a smooth and harmonious experience of the sales process

Within your accounts, you will develop long-term (1-3 year) and tactical, short-term sales initiatives and programmes to achieve overall strategic plans

Participate in and contribute to the development of the overall strategic account plan(s)

Ensuring sales objectives are translated into specific plans

Provide timely and accurate forecasts

Converting pipeline into successful closed deals

You should have proven track record as a high-performing sales specialist and in working collaboratively in complex software decisioning sales environments, you will deliver superior customer engagements and outcomes. You will also be building a career with the ‘Big Data’ leader, who’s able to offer diversity of development across our broader business capabilities.

We are looking for a successful sales professional with a history of overachieving. Someone who can proactively build a growing pipeline of opportunities, who has proven experience in opening doors, can build new senior client relationships via strong networks and ultimately someone who is hungry to convert pipeline opportunities, through the sales cycle and into successful closed sales.

Your role will be pivotal to the success of Experian’s software sales strategy and business performance of the wider Go-to-market function. You will be working within the Banking Vertical Market and alongside our Product Management teams to contribute to the broader business strategy and achieve success.

Experian has a broad set of capabilities and assets that make us unique in the market and allow us to deliver exceptional value to our clients. You will collaborate with other teams across Experian to ensure our client propositions are as complete and value-generating as possible, for each individual engagement.
